Quilling - August 18
Quilling Art Workshop with Chelsea Artist, Laura from Culture Creations, on Tuesday, August 18th from 1 - 4pm. Completing this art project should take around 2 hours. Instructions for this art project will be given at 1pm and 2pm. Please arrive no later than 2pm to ensure completion by 4pm.

Quilling, or paper filigree, is a timeless art form where strips of paper are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create intricate, decorative designs.

Linoleum Block Printing - Oct. 12
Linoleum Block Printing Art Workshop with Ann Arbor Artist, Sajeev Visweswaran, on Monday, October 12th from 1 - 4pm. Completing this art project should take around 1-2 hours. Please arrive no later than 2pm to ensure completion by 4pm.

Linoleum block printing, or linocut, is a relief printmaking craft. You carve a mirror-image design into a linoleum sheet using gouge tools, roll water-based or oil-based ink onto the raised surface, and press paper onto the block by hand or with a press to transfer the inked picture.

Weaving: T-shirt weaving is a fun, no-sew craft where you upcycle old shirts into stylish garments, wall hangings, or accessories by cutting fabric into strips and looping them together .

Screen printing is a popular stencil-based printing technique where ink is pressed through a mesh screen to create crisp, durable designs on garments, paper, and other materials.
September 29 in the Atrium
Pewabic Tile-Glazing - Sept. 29
Try your hand at glazing tiles during these 1-hour ceramics classes led by staff from the historic Pewabic Pottery in Detroit.
Participants will choose their preferred tile design and learn to glaze like the Pewabic fabrication team. Once fired, tiles will be ready for pickup at the museum office at a later date.
