Design the next exterior mural at the School of Dentistry
Accepting Design Submissions through Jan. 8, 2027
The School of Dentistry will pursue the installation of a second exterior mural on the top of the Fletcher Parking Structure.
Design submissions should meet the following criteria:
- Inviting to our School of Dentistry patients
- Eye catching so that it can be referenced for wayfinding
- Design elements should translate to large scale, i.e., should be perceivable close up and far away
- Celebrate what makes SOD and/or its history unique
- Proportioned to fit 25ft wide x 16ft tall
The winning design will be selected in February of 2027.
The final design and installation must be approved by the University before the project can move forward. In the case that the design is approved and installed, the artist will receive cash compensation for their work.
By submitting a design, artists transfers all copyright to the U-M School of Dentistry. All artworks can be used by the School without restriction.
